My licence has already been activated the maximum number of times- what can I do?

Personal licenses (previously called "single-user" licences) can only be activated on 3 machines, so to activate it on a 4th machine you will have to release the license from one of the existing machines.  This can be done under the “Help” menu in Geneious 6.0 and later and under the “Pro” menu in earlier versions. You cannot release a license more than twice in 6 months.  This is to prevent personal licenses being shared by multiple users.

    How do I release a license from computers or hard drives that are replaced or gone? Is there a website to release licenses from such computers?

    In another user in the same computer counts as different instalation? When I try to acess my geneious in another user in the same computer, the follow appears:

    Yes, personal Geneious licenses are tied to the user account in which they are activated, as they are designed for a single user.  If you login as a different user you will need to activate the license again and this will count as an additional activation.  You should purchase a floating license if you want to be able to have multiple user accounts on the same machine accessing Geneious.
